Literature Text
His feet dragged across the desert,
Throat aching for water,
Stomach pleading for food.
He was weak.
The serpent smiled- it was It’s chance.
It took him to the stones,
and told him to perform a miracle,
But he refused.
It carried him to the temple’s roof,
and told him to save himself,
But he was humble.
It forced him to climb the highest mountain,
and told him to bow,
But he was faithful.
It slithered away with disgust.
The Angels came and gave him water,
And food to eat,
Because he was strong.
Throat aching for water,
Stomach pleading for food.
He was weak.
The serpent smiled- it was It’s chance.
It took him to the stones,
and told him to perform a miracle,
But he refused.
It carried him to the temple’s roof,
and told him to save himself,
But he was humble.
It forced him to climb the highest mountain,
and told him to bow,
But he was faithful.
It slithered away with disgust.
The Angels came and gave him water,
And food to eat,
Because he was strong.
